The goal of the Lake Management District (LMD) is to safeguard the water quality of Lake Lawrence. The LMD also attempts to maintain the aesthetic and recreational benefits and support wildlife of Lake Lawrence. The LMD was established in 1986.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Olympia, Lacey and Tumwater:

  • Take 1-5 to the College St. Exit.
  • South on College Street to the Yelm Highway
  • Cross the Yelm Highway and College St. becomes Rainier Road
  • Continue south on Rainier Road to the stop sign in the town of Rainier
  • At the stop sign, turn left and go two blocks to Center Street
  • Turn right onto Center Street and continue east as it turns into SE 148th, go several miles to the stop sign at Vail Road SE
  • At the stop sign, turn right onto Vail Road,
  • Go South on Vail Road to 153rd (Big Fish Sign)
  • Turn left onto SE 153rd and continue 7/10ths of a mile to Lindsay Road SE,
  • Turn Right onto Lindsay Road SE and continue 4/10ths of a mile to Topaz Drive SE
  • Turn left onto Topaz Drive SE, the Lake Lawrence Lodge is ahead on your left. Park on the grassy field across from the lodge. DO NOT PARK on the roadway or in front of the gate next to the lodge

From Tacoma and Seattle:

  • South on I-5
  • Take Exit #127 to Highway 512 East
  • Go about1/2 mile and take the Steele Street exit,
  • Turn left at the Traffic Signal onto Steele Street
  • Continue on Steele Street, which turns into Spanaway Loop Road for approximately 6 miles to the light at Pacific Highway
  • Turn Right onto Pacific Ave. S. and go south approx. 1 mile to the Roy Wye
  • Bear right at the Roy Wye onto Hwy 507 South,
  • Continue south on Highway 507 South approx. 13 miles through the towns of Roy and McKenna.
  • After crossing the Nisqually River as you come out of McKenna turn left onto Vail Road SE (Left Turn Lane),
  • Follow Vail Road SE to SE153rd (approx. 6 miles)
  • Turn left onto 153rd and go 7/10 of a mile to Lindsay Rd. SE
  • Turn Right on to Lindsay Road and go approx. 4/10ths of a mile to Topaz Drive SE
  • Turn left onto Topaz, the Lake Lawrence Lodge is ahead of you to the left. Parking is on the grassy field across from the lodge. (Do Not Park on the roadway or in front of the gate next to the lodge).
